About Stephen Benton

Stephen Benton has been in the healing arts industry since 1990.

He received Feng Shui training from David Daniel Kennedy, author of Feng Shui For Dummies and Feng Shui Tips for a Better Life. Mr. Kennedy has studied with Professor Thomas Lin Yun, founder of The Black Hat School of Feng Shui.

This style of feng shui blends from spiritual traditions including Indian Buddhism, Tibetan Bon religion, Taoism and many branches of ancient Chinese cultures including the I Ching and Yin-Yang thought. Infuential teachers have included Sarah Rossbach, Master Lam Kam Chuen, and Nancy SantoPietro. In addition, Stephen practices Chinese Compass Feng Shui and has enjoyed teachers such as Gill Hale and Lillian Too.

Sensual Intentional Placement is what feng shui aims for. When our surroundings appeal to our sensuality, desire for beauty and our sense of good placement we feel strengthened and this is reflected in the ways we approach living.

The beautiful Hawaiian Islands and the spiritual energy ("mana") from the land and the transformative-Kadavul Hindu Temple and its spiritual teacher, Gurudeva Siviya Subramuniyaswami, have given Stephen great appreciation for nature and its beauty and an understanding of how energy flows within the person and universe.

Stephen has been a hatha yoga practitioner and instructor for over 20 years as well as a massage therapist. Time spent in yoga and massage has paved the foundation for sensitivity training, learning about the self, directing energy, reducing stress, and learning to love oneself and others.
